New Segways in Old Rome

Since we only have one full day to take in the sites of Rome and we are very tired, we opted to have the concierge arrange for a privately guided Segway tour through old Rome on Tuesday AM.

We started out in Trastevere, then headed to Palatine Hill, the Colesseum, Circus Maximus, the Forum, the Jewish Getto, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and Campo de Fiore. Basically 80% of old Rome in 3 hours.

Our guide was excellent and tailored the tour to our interests. It was a great way to see old Rome and get a sense of the different areas. We only went into 2-3 places, but that was fine by me.

Our guide even took us to a few of his favorite spots for cappuccino and gelato. With tip, it was about $250 and well worth the money - I highly recommend this if you are game for riding a Segway for 3 hours.

After our tour, we took a taxi to Piazza de Populo and had some spaghetti carbonara and a cold beer.
