Hanging out on the Seine
After our late breakfast this AM, Sarah and I went over to Notre Dame and toured the cathedral. Afterwards we walked along the Left Bank of the river Seine and shopped at the hundreds of street vendors who sell used books, old photographs of Paris, oil painting and drawings, and antique souvenirs. Along the way we stopped at several cafes for a beer or glass of wine. This is probably my favorite thing to do in Paris during the day.
Sarah continued her search for onion soup that is better than Vicki's, but has not been successful. The latest victim Cafe de Pont Neuf on the right bank. Cafe de Pont Neuf had the best so far, but not good enough. Some of the tables at this cafe have a decent view of the Eiffel Tower.
Tonight will be the final onion soup test before we head to London and Italy. Our plan is to make one last stop at the Louvre and then head out to dinner in the Montmartre area. This is one of my favorite things to do in the evening in Paris.
