Helicopter to Grand Canyon
On Saturday morning we took the helicopter tour to the floor of the Grand Canyon. Very cool.
From the local airport, it is about a 40 minute ride to west part of Grand Canyon. We flew over Hoover Dam and then went over Indian reservation lands and into the canyon landing on a bluff just above the river.
It was my second time in a helicopter and TJ's first.
The scope and scale of the canyon is hard to imagine. Since there are no reference points, estimating size and distance is very hard. Check out the video links and pictures.
