Black Friday

Sarah, Heather, and I made the trip to the mall for Black Friday. There was a 15-minute line just to get into the parking lot to look for a space. Once we were in the parking lot, it took another 15 minutes of driving around before we got lucky and happened upon someone backing out.

As much of a zoo as it is, there was no line for pictures with Santa. Ironically, I guy dressed as Jesus was the photographer and they still couldn't pull anyone in for a photo.

We felt bad for Jesus and Santa, they used to be so popular this time of year. But who can compete with 40% off more stuff.

Anyway, here are the girls with Santa. I whispered to Jesus as he was snapping the photo and told him he need to have a sale if he wanted any business - maybe through in a few free blessings. Jesus appreciated the input, but I got the sense that he had a handle on things.

Sunset on the Gulf

Vicki, Heather, and I are down visiting Doris and Irv for Thanksgiving this week in Florida.

This evening we headed down to Siesta Beach in Sarasota to watch the sunset. The sand on the beach is very fine, almost like powder. Doris drive us down in Irv's Saab convertible (he is at the hospital volunteering) - very nice.

Next stop is the Siesta Village for some happy hour beverages.

Where's Bambi

On Saturday, Sarah joined me at a ribbon cutting event at a local archery and gun store here in Branchburg.

Here is Sarah taking some test shots on a high-powered crossbow. The crossbow shoots arrows (bolts) at 360 feet per second. It goes right through the deer and they don't know what hit them.

Hopefully now Sarah feels equipped to start a deer cull on our property.
